Quality firm woven fabric such as Kona cotton – I don’t really know how much fabric you will need it depends on how many stitches your machine has.

My machine has over 1000 stitches and I think I used about 2 yards.  I used cream colored Kona Cotton with a darker color thread.  Or you can use a darker color fabric and then use a lighter color thread.   Remember you want to see the stitches so don’t use a pattern fabric or something that will distract from the stitches.

Medium weight cut-away stabilizer  or medium weight fusible interfacing.

Good quality thread.  I used Presencia.  I used a different color for each stitch group.   You will use a lot of thread but you don’t have to buy it all at once.  Bottom Line for the bobbin.

Sewing Machine in good working order

Bring the feet you have for your machine to review what they are used for.
Regular sewing foot and if you have the open embroidery foot
Water soluble markers or similar marking tool
Straight pins
Sharp scissors
Seam ripper
Rotary cutter
505 Spray

Cut fabric into the size you want your pages to be.  I cut mine a little bigger than 8 ½ x 11 – when trimmed it fits in the clear page protectors.  NOTE:  You can interface a big piece of fabric and then cut into the desired size or you can cut your fabric into the desired size and then interface as needed.
