We will be making fifty twelve and six inch blocks and assembling them into an amazing quilt  Meeting every 2nd Saturday of the month from February through October, 1:00 until 3:30 pm, we will closely explore how to accurately cut and piece these complex quilt blocks.  We will also complete several additional projects featured in Lori's Farm Girl 2 book.

What will you need?

You will need your Vintage Farm Girl 2 book and some fabric to get ready for the fun!   Bear’s Paw has made kits featuring all the required fat quarters used in this quilt, or you may feel free to use your own desired fabrics.

This is a sit and sew.  You will bring your sewing machine with a quarter inch  piecing foot,  Aurifil 50 weight neutral all-purpose sewing thread , thread snips, a stiletto, a rotary cutter with sharp blade, a small rotary cutting mat,  straight rotary cutting ruler, as well as a mechanical pencil or a “ Sew Fine” chalk pencil with pink lead.

Each month you will be asked to cut for five blocks to prepare for class.  That way we can start to sew right away.

So, put on your straw hat and let’s have some fun while making a fantastic quilt!
