#43 FREEMOTION COUCHING FOOT

The base of the foot is larger than most free-motion feet; this, combined with the "cuped" sole, allows the foot to slide easily over the uneven surface created by couched cords.  A "tunnel" at the left side of the foot guides the cord into place for couching, while the notch at the side of the narrow needle opening positions the cord exactly under the needle.
